Gameday!!

So, today was the "official" start of the college football season. This was the first Texas game we got to see on TV! Olivia was very excited and cheered on the Horns with John. We had to leave to go to a birthday party so that is why Olivia is all dressed up. I think she looks so cute, I had to zoom in on her!! Do you love the socks with the shoes on them? Next week will be our 3-month update AND Olivia will be all decked out in her Texas gear! Auntie Becca has made a special bow that has John VERY excited! I am back at work now, so posts are less frequent. It has gone pretty well! Olivia seems to be doing fine with the nanny! Other than the heavy guilt (that I hear doesn't go away) I have been ok! It was rather nice to go to the bathroom when I want and have adult conversations! Happy Weekend!

You are right the guilt never goes away. But it does get better. Especially now that you are required to shower and get dressed up every day...makes you feel a bit more human. :)

I hear you about the guilt.....I STILL hate leaving her every day and she is in school 8 hrs a day!!! When Haley was an infant I felt guilty leaving her and now that she is school age I feel guilty that I sometimes have to miss things - or prioritize. But just think how awesome it is that we can support ourselves and have jobs....and that adult conversation during the day is PRICELESS! Trust me -when she is older there will be days when you will be somewhat thankful you GET to go to work and have that adult conversation. I think the time away makes us better parents. You guys are doing an AMAZING job with my little neice. I love you!
